Since its launching in 2018, the ENMUS provided different levels of NMUS training including basic, intermediate, and advanced levels 1-day workshops and 2-days full courses to meet the training needs of everyone. A unique course was an interventional course on ultrasound-guided Botulinum toxin injection for spasticity which featured training on cadavers to enhance the participants skills. Not only we provide pure NMUS workshops and courses, but we also organized several integrated Electrodiagnosis/Neuromuscular ultrasound workshops to train physicians on how to integrate the two tools together and correlate their findings.
Scientific days organized by the ENMUS
Scientific days are great ways to increase orientation about NMUS. The ENMUS organized several free-of charge NMUS scientific days covering focal mononeuropathies, traumatic nerve injuries, polyneuropathies, and muscle diseases. These events were attended by hundreds of physicians from different governorates in Egypt and were characterized by informative professional talks, rich discussions, debate sessions, as well as demo sessions demonstrating scanning techniques of nerves & muscles.
Virtual courses during the COVID-19 pandemic
The ENMUS proudly presented three virtual courses during the COVID-19 pandemic: Basic, intermediate, and advanced level courses. The basic and intermediate courses were free of charge as a consideration . Each course extended over 2 full days and featured lectures as well as demo sessions demonstrating nerve and muscle scanning techniques. International NMUS experts joined us in the three courses .
Over 300 participants from over the world joined the courses and they well received by the participants.
